Full Moon in Pisces

Full Moon Pisces

The Full Moon in Pisces on September the 6th brings mixed emotions.

Every Full Moon in Pisces asks us to assess whether our need for inspiration, dream, and contact with the unconscious are in tune with the practical and earthly issues that we face in our everyday life, but this Full Moon in particular will confuse more our emotional landscape.

The Moon is in Pisces and our feelings are already attired with the romantic idealism and the hypersensitivity of the sign. Neptune in conjunction with the Moon increases our empathy, our desire for the imaginary, makes us abstract and is opposes the Sun in Virgo. This Virgo Sun seeks purity, analysis and practical thinking, and expresses what we want in our everyday life. All of these, with the Sun-Neptune opposition become inconspicuous and flicker like a mirage in a desert of the real.

What is it that we want and what we ask from our relationships and from others? What exactly do we feel? Is this real true or it is just our idea? Are we really disappointed or do we feel uncomfortably frustrated because of our emotional charge? Is our attitude towards others clear or does it misguide?

Such are the questions brought forth by this Full Moon, but unfortunately the answers do not come.

Full Moon Pisces

Venus on the chart of the lunation cannot express love, relate and feel valuable, but on the contrary remains attached to obsessions that causes her quincunx with Pluto, to the illusions that maintains the quincunx with Neptune and engages in sweet introversion quincunx with the Moon.

Rational thoughts and logic could have helped the situation somehow, but Mercury has just stopped on his retrograde course and is ready to direct without yet being able to put thoughts to speech or to untie mingled emotions.

Mercury’s conjunction with Mars, upon the same degree of the eclipse of  the 21st of August, requires from us more caution in not saying anything hurriedly, not getting aggressive or taking a position that is not easily reversible, misunderstood or can hurt, rather than to act bold and straightforwardly.

The scenery will become clearer in the next few days and the trines that Mars and Mercury make with Uranus and the sextiles with Jupiter will be helpful. Tension will find its release, and we will gradually feel free from people or situations that restrict us, either by re-establishing the structure of our relationships or through completely new opportunities and acquaintances.

In everything that we have described above, any resolutions that we have made while Saturn was retrograde, until his direct motion on August the 25th, will now begin to be gradually applied and be of help.

The final exit of Mercury from its shadow, which happens on September the 19th, will also help us be more decisive and clear in what we communicate.

Until then, let us experience the tension of this full moon with patience, knowing that it is part of a creative process which while confusing initially, it will eventually renew us at a practical level and uplift us with inspiration and spiritual strength.

Venus Retrograde

VENUS RETROGRADE (March 4th – April 15th)

Venus Retrograde

Venus, the planet of Love is going to turn retrograde within the next hours. During her retrograde course Venus will move backwards through Aries and will gradually retreat into the sign of Pisces on April the 3rd, where she will continue her retrogration until April the 16th.

Andy Warhol, in his painting “Details of Renaissance Paintings, Botticelli, Birth of Venus”, is re-visiting Botticelli’s Venus and re-paints her with a pop aesthetics in order to comment on the commercialisation of the ideal of Love, the superficiality of being vain and to make the viewer stop and ponder on the notions of “relating” and “beauty”.

That is exactly what Venus is callings us to do while she will be retrograde. A re-evaluation of our own self-worth, our own internal beauty. We are called to re-assess the expectations we have from others and at the same time to see how it is that we ourselves relate.

During the retrograde movement we turn inwards and we wonder:

  • What is that we want from a relationship and from our partner?
  • Which are the motivations and our deepest desires?
  • Do we want to be in a relationship just only for the sake of not being alone?
  • Is our relationship superficial, pop and “appearances-only”, lacking meaningful sharing?
  • Are we appreciated as much as we deserve? Do we return appreciation and value our partner?

The very nature of these questions, whether we are in a relationship or not, concerns first and most to ourselves and while it mainly relates to love relations it also touches, one to one partnerships, business relations and our socialising in general.

The retrograde movement brings Venus backwards and this may mean that a person from the past re-appears. If this is the case, it only happens for a reason. We must “remember” the relationship we have had with this person in the past, what it meant then and what it means now, for our present and for any existing relations or commitments. We are called to redefine this relation with the past person in a clear and karmic – free way.

From April the 3rd when Venus exalted in Pisces will be attired with romanticism, self -sacrifice and utmost idealism, our need to belong will be great and will feel like nostalgia to return to the very ideal of love that has been lost.

All this is a necessary part in a process of introspection that will clear out situations, will make us feel better with ourselves and will prepare us to be more sociable and will revitalise our relationships when Venus will turn direct again.

SEPTEMBER 2016 ECLIPSES: Rock les mutables

The Eclipses out on the 1st and 16th of September are rocking the mutable signs.

The first, Solar one, from 9 rpm of Virgo and the second, Lunar, from 24 rpm Pisces, will be played and heard loudly. Virgo, Pisces, Sagittarius and Gemini rockers, especially those born on the 1st and the 3rd decans, as well as all those with personal planets close to the 9 and 24 degrees of the Virgo – Pisces axis, are going to experience unforgettable tracks within the next six months.
Ballads, blues, slow, hard-rock or bashing drums, it depends on each one’s natal record.

What is important is to remember the rock concert 101. Keep alert and watch out.
If you’re in the front row and the crowd sways, you just let yourself to the wave without resisting, unless you might get injured or get grabbed by Mars and Saturn that stand Security Guards beneath the stage.

Now you know. Don’t fret. Either way, this is an experience to further broaden your musical training. So, enjoy the rhythm and crowd surf if you may.

Mercury in Pisces

Mercury in Pisces

Mercury in Pisces becomes a planet that expresses with the Sign’s intuition, empathy and sensitivity. Thinking and reasoning is less analytical and detached and becomes more subjective (feminine polarity) and abstract (less rational – water element)

Perception modified by Pisces can easily understand something in its wholeness (water element) and in its essence (water element) and not as a sum of its parts. Mercury in Pisces can easily understand concepts but may fail to understand the simplest of things. Absent mindedness due to travelling of the mind is also a trait. (water element).

The mind has the ability to see both sides of a situation –this duality is in the symbol of the two Pisces, being receptive (feminine polarity and water) and easily tuned with the ambient environment or the other’s viewpoint (symbol and mutable water). Views may be easily adopted (water element) without critical process due to the impressionable nature of the Sign. On the other hand this “walking in other’s shoes” ability (mutable quality) gives emotional Intelligence to the Piscean mode of thought and makes the individual easily trusted by (Jupiter tone) and inspiring to others (Neptune tone).

Imagination (Neptune and water) flourishes when Mercury is in Pisces. The mind converts emotions to ideals, words to pictures, feelings to words and synthesizes artistically (Mercury operating in a mutable environment). There isn’t a logical conversion process. Pisces just knows without necessarily knowing how it knows.

A proneness to excessive day-dreaming (Neptune and water) or deceiving others through elaborate lies (Unskilled Mercury and Neptune) or oneself with delusions (Neptune) may also exist if the planet is unskillfully expressed.

Ideals, spiritual notions, higher knowledge, philosophy or belief systems (Jupiter), fertile ideas and creativity may be easily comprehended, adopted (water and feminine polarity) or communicated from Mercury in Pisces, inspired by Jupiter, the Sign’s ruler.

All these are the expressions of Mercury when the planet resides in the Sign of Pisces.

  • ability for Synthesis (mutable quality)
  • an understanding of the abstract (less rational – water element),
  • a mind tuned to psychic vibes and energy (water element),
  • harboring of romantic ideals (water element),
  • romanticism and escapism (water element),
  • exchange of emotions through words (Mercury in water element),
  • realization and rationalization of the afterlife (Mercury in Mutable water),
  • metaphysical and philosophical teaching, (Mercury with Jupiter and Neptune color from the Sign’s rulers).

Mercury may be in its fall in Pisces but this fall is not necessarily a bad thing.Mercury in Pisces is in a place where the “Mind” becomes “Nous” and is connected with the Universal Mind. Cognition and logical functions operate in a different level.  Mercury is not exchanging information it just absorbs the information vibes without categorizing.

All of the information exists within the smallest tiny part of the Universe. Instead of finding it we simply need to FEEL IT.

With Mercury in Pisces your mind is a fractal of the Universe.

Jupiter when placed in its Signs of rulership, Pisces & Sagittarius, is operating in the same mutable mode but being in a different element expresses differently.

In Pisces Jupiter expands Belief, expands the sub-conscious and reaches out towards universal energy and acceptance of the transient nature of reality. Here Jupiter calls on a quest for self-discovery, a broadening of the faculty of empathy that bestows understanding, compassion for others and elevates the psyche to the spiritual dimensions. The process of expansion is internal, not visible, hidden or mystical. The person with Jupiter in Pisces may be a spiritual guru or a deeply religious person, a pious with his faith in man’s inherent ability to love truly devout.

Jupiter here may be William Blake, the mystical poet, saying:

“If the doors of perception were cleansed everything would appear to man as it is, infinite.”

“If a thing loves, it is infinite.”

On his unskilled side Jupiter here may give a tendency to the person to easily believe and be beguiled, to give an excess of daydreaming, escapism or to make a person over-react towards the need of others. On his unskilled side Jupiter here may give a tendency to the person to easily believe and be beguiled, to give an excess of daydreaming, escapism or to make a person over-react towards the need of others.

In Sagittarius Jupiter expands Gnosis, expands the mind to reach out towards wisdom and acceptance of the different forms of reality, in the material world. Here Jupiter calls on a quest for self-discovery, a broadening of the mind and one’s horizons, is an accumulation of real life experiences through travelling, studying or reading.

The process of expansion is external and is lived as an outlet for the fiery passion of the sign. Travel and enjoy life, embrace new cultures, explore new opportunities, learn more and more, adopt a philosophy or a religious system, all are possible ways to expand gnosis, knowledge and yourself. Jupiter here becomes passionate and acts in good faith. A faith in Life. The person with Jupiter here may have deep ethics, religious views and be a real cosmopolitan, a passionate warm nature and be optimistic generous and enthusiastic.

On his unskilled side Jupiter here may give a tendency to wander unceasingly without rooting somewhere and accumulate an excess of experiences for the sake of experiences without judging their moral or ethical aspect.

Jupiter here may be William Blake, the painter, saying: “The path of excess leads to the tower of wisdom”

P.S. Interestingly enough William Blake has Jupiter in Sagittarius!
