LUNAR ECLIPSE IN CAPRICORN - 16 JULY 2019

LUNAR ECLIPSE – 16 JULY 2019: Under the spiraling gyre – Part II

LUNAR ECLIPSE IN CAPRICORN - 16 JULY 2019

This particular eclipse is especially important for those who belong to the Signs of the Cardinal Cross (Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn), and who are born between July 15 – July 19, October 16 – October 20, January 12 – January 16, and April 12 – April 16.

Also to those having personal planets or their Ascendant near the 22° – 26° degrees of these Signs.

We are now deep into the eclipse season.

This is a period of significance.

I am warning you. I am going to be straightforward. I am going to be poetic. I am not going to caress your ears.

The Theme of the Eclipse – Individual Level

The partial Lunar Eclipse of July the 16th takes place at 24°04′ of the Sign of Capricorn.

It follows the Solar Eclipse in Cancer that took place two weeks ago, and as such it represents our emotional climax and response to issues that then started. It is the emotional reaction to the demands that are now beginning to appear.

And the emotional response seems to be quite, not to say extremely, heavy.

Pluto is conjunct the Moon in this eclipse. The Moon is in Capricorn, something that already makes her pragmatic and strict. Utilitarian and craving respect under the Pluto influence becomes obsessive or possessive, jealous or conspiring.

Emotions are at a peak. This is a Full Moon. This is an Eclipse. A Full Moon that is shadowed temporarily, eclipsed, loosing its tenderness and warmth, as the light from the Sun in Cancer that in a sense was giving her, is now blocked.

This will affect relations. Or this may be the start of an on-going emotional eclipse that will culminate in January 2020 with its end results in the summer of 2020.

LUNAR ECLIPSE IN CAPRICORN - 16 JULY 2019Moon is conjunct Saturn also. On top to the deep psychological examination that the conjunction with Pluto brings, heavy lies the burden of responsibilities. Work versus family life. Sadness.

On the other side of the chart Venus is conjunct the Sun and opposite Saturn.

This Venus – Saturn opposition reinforces the theme of detachment in our relationships but does not yet herald the split or the breaking up. It is the recognition of the stagnation, of the boundaries in affection and love. The difficulty to reach out.

Financial problems may also befall those hit close by this eclipse. While money cannot be made out of thin air, the emotional shortage can at least be prevented.

Get out of the Moon – Pluto – Saturn zone and reach on the other side of the chart to the Sun conjunct Venus. There is help there.

Reflect as Mercury retrogrades from Leo into Cancer:

  • Is this pressure that causes emotional and existential stress on my family life worth?
  • Do I need the professional spotlight? Do I need to crave attention? (Mercury Rx in Leo)?

or

  • is it better if I focus on what it is that the other person needs?
  • Be gentle, be kind, be attentive to the needs of the important ones in your life.
  • As the power games appear, turn to your sweeter side.
  • You may have less money but you become rich by displaying affection.
  • Be intuitively present for the others and do it politely and with no expectations.
  • Use the positive expression from the Sun conjunct Venus in Cancer.

Look to the easing of the opposition.

Neptune is sextile Saturn and trine to Venus and the North Node of the eclipse chart.

Neptune is selfless wholeness.

Its sextile to Saturn is constructive belief and grounded faith. Its trine to Venus is devotion and devout.

This devout feeling or the very faith in the value of yourself, gives the needed rebirth (Pluto) to the emotions (Moon). Ii is a baptism in faith (Neptune).

This is a DIFFICULT eclipse. Use Astrology. Use the eclipse’s chart for your emotional benefit. (Pluto conjunct Moon in Capricorn – in its positive expression).

This eclipse is monumental in the way it reshapes our emotional centre in the areas it affects in the chart.

Will the centre hold?

“Be full with passionate intensity and don’t lack conviction” in this spiraling gyre of the eclipses and the synodic cycles, as the great poet W.B. Yeats would have said.

I warned you I would be poetic…haven’t I?

The eclipse effect for the Signs

(applies for rising sign also or natal placements of personal planets near the degree of the eclipse)

The eclipse is difficult highlighting issues relative to the houses and the planets it falls on in the natal chart, for Aries, Cancer, Libra Signs, especially those mentioned in the start of the article.

It is empowerment through increased pressure and responsibilities for Capricorn Signs, especially those mentioned in the start of the article. because they tend to respond better to the Saturnine Energy, even if it’s oppressive.

It is a revisiting of the past or the past re – appearing in the form of persons or situations mostly for Leo and Scorpios and to a lesser extent for Aquarius.

It mostly works neutral to positive for Taurus, Virgos, Pisces, Gemini and Sagittarius Signs.

The Lunar Eclipse will be fully visible from nearly all countries in the world, with the exception of United States, Canada and North-Eastern Russia.

Continue on here to see how this eclipse will affect us on a mundane level.

Also to those having personal planets or their Ascendant near the 22° – 26° degrees of these Signs.

We are now deep into the eclipse season.

This is a period of significance.

I am warning you. I am going to be blunt, I am going to be straightforward. I am going to reference the symbolism of poetry. I am to give you a snapshot of the eclipse(s) that is (are) coming.

It is not the end of the world. Never will it be.

The Lunar Eclipse in Capricorn on July the 16th is not the most difficult eclipse. On the contrary, it has some aspects that are good and it may work very positive on an individual level for some of the Signs.  – Read Part II

But though not the most difficult, it is nevertheless a VERY DIFFICULT eclipse.

It marks the first taste of the Saturn – Plutonic pressure that is going to resonate during the first half of 2020 as we approach the Saturn – Pluto conjunction.

The eclipse at a mundane level

In the mundane expression of this eclipse now begins the lifting of the heavy burden and the upcoming overturn. Now is the upsetting.

There is a cosmic relation between this lunar eclipse and the lunar eclipse that is coming on January the 10th of 2020. Two days before the conjunction of the heavy artillery of planet Saturn and planet Pluto on 22°46’ of Capricorn.

This one takes place at 24°04 of Capricorn while the January one takes place on 20° precisely.

Do you get the picture?

The conjunction is at 22°, and the two eclipses are, the first one two degrees ahead, and the latter, two degrees before.

22° is sandwiched between the two eclipses with heavy metal music playing on the 20° and 24°.

“Emphasized 22° degree, so what?”, one may ask.

But it is not this only…

There is also an emphasis on the 20th degree, relating to last July’s eclipse on the 13th of the month that took place on 20°41’ of Cancer and…

…and Mercury, that is retrograde during this eclipse, will station direct exactly on 24° of Cancer also. (23°56’ to be precise).

This is not only a cosmic “sandwich” upon the 22° degrees of the Cardinal Signs but also a heavy bombardment of energy both on 20° and 24°degrees, starting with this eclipse and ending on January 2020.

On a mundane level we are now entering a period where the traditional structures and the global power dynamics are shifting irrevocably.

LUNAR ECLIPSE IN CAPRICORN - 16 JULY 2019

The Cancer – Capricorn nodal axis of the eclipses and the Saturn – Pluto conjunction, redefine and reshape the extent to which less powered nations will accept the pressure of globalization and corporations.

Boundaries will reshape. Nationalism versus Globalism. Distribution of power will be challenged. Development will be framed because unchecked, it is consuming the planet.

To nurture and care (Cancer) for the many will become a paramount request. People over profits, (Pluto in Capricorn).

How power is exerted (Capricorn) in relation to issues of homeland, nationality and tradition (Cancer) becomes important.

These are the warring elements at the end of the Saturn – Pluto synodic cycle. This is how the world chess game will play out with all the pressure on the central 22° degree.

Will the centre hold?

“The center cannot hold” as the great poet W.B. Yeats would have said, under this spiraling gyre of the eclipses and the synodic cycles.

I warned you I would be symbolic, haven’t I?

The Lunar Eclipse will be fully visible from nearly all countries in the world, with the exception of United States, Canada and North-Eastern Russia.

Continue on here to see how this eclipse will affect you on an individual level.

FULL MOON IN SAGITTARIUS 17 JUNE 2019

FULL MOON IN SAGITTARIUS 17 JUNE 2019: The Dream Catcher

FULL MOON IN SAGITTARIUS 17 JUNE 2019

The Full Moon takes place at 25°and 53’ of the Sagittarius Sign. It strongly affects Sagittarius and Gemini Signs which are born in the third decan, as well as those having personal planets, points or their Ascendant, near the 23° – 27° degrees of the Mutable Cross.

In addition to the above this complex Full Moon brings difficulties for Cancer, Aries and Libra Signs born near the end of the second and the beginning of the third decan and is beneficial for Pisces, Taurus, and Capricorn Signs of the same days.

A full moon that’s like a shimmering spider web takes place on the night of the 17th of June.

This full moon juxtaposes inspiration and belief in our dreams with frustration and delays. On one side it fills us with a renewed belief, a sense that there is the potential for our aspirations to manifest and to be realized, while at the same time it emphasizes the toil and hardship of the everyday life and everything that holds us back.

The chart of the Full Moon is one of the most complicated of the year.

Request your Astrology Reading by Andrew Ifandis

Each full moon brings to the fore a need which, depending on the extent that it has been fulfilled brings completion and satisfaction or tension and crisis.

This Full Moon takes place in the Sign of Sagittarius, with the Sun in Gemini and the Moon opposite, giving emphasis on issues that have to do with education, traveling, teaching, philosophy, writing and publishing.

Take good notice on the houses that this Full Moon activates in your personal horoscope because during the days following the full moon it is very possible that information on issues that relates to these houses may come out, helping you with valuable knowledge and revealing of higher truths.

The Moon in the chart of this lunation is in a good state, and the part of your chart ruled by the Moon, that area of life, will benefit from this Full Moon for the next two weeks.

Moon is conjunct Jupiter, leaving from a conjunction to the planet just the day before. Whatever part of your life this moon is highlighting will come to emphasis BUT cautiousness is needed not to overreact or to overthink because at the same time Jupiter is opposite Sun.

This involvement of the Jupiter in the full moon is the backbone of the chart. It gives a liberating and exhilarating sense but all the optimism has to be grounded and we have to be careful not to over-estimate our abilities.

This is exactly the catch of this Full Moon in Sagittarius. It has a duality and balances evenly between the light and the dark energy.

FULL MOON IN SAGITTARIUS 17 JUNE 2019

Upon the backbone of the Jupiter and Full Moon axis, two different webs are weaved.

The tangled one is the opposition between the Pluto – Saturn conjunction in Capricorn and the Mars – Mercury conjunction in Cancer. This is the dark side. It mainly affects Cancer, Aries and Libra Signs born near the end of the second and the beginning of the third decan.

The following aspects are the thick cobwebs of this side:

Mars opposition to Pluto. An aspect that may manifest in violence, physical intensity, uncontrollable passion, intense and dark sexuality, or mere fighting and shouting. If you get caught in the web of this negativity try to use your psychological power to get free and express any surge with the most constructive way possible.

Mars opposition to Saturn brings frustration and delays. We want to act and to put into action the unstoppable drive that the previous mentioned Mars opposition Pluto aspect gives, and we cannot. Obligations holds us back. The time holds us back. For some it may bring clash with figures of authority or the law. It is an aspect that requires disciplined action.

Mercury opposition to Saturn is difficulties and boundaries in us expressing us we want. Our mode of thinking is checked by someone that has authority or is a father figure. We feel the optimism of the Moon conjunct Jupiter aspect, that as we have said is core in this Full Moon in Sagittarius, we are over the top with excitement (Sun opposition Jupiter), but certain persons or the circumstances appear to declare that “Υou cannot”, filling us with pessimism. Lighten up your thinking with faith in your abilities (Mercury is also trine to Neptune in Pisces).

Mercury opposition to Pluto is the fixation of the mind. The obsessive compulsion that we feel to do it in our own way and get it done as we think it should be done, that unfortunately clashes with the delays and the frustration described in the other aspects.

Thick is the web as it seems….

FULL MOON IN SAGITTARIUS 17 JUNE 2019

But on this complex chart all of the above aspects are aided by the Wedge formation that the planets make with Neptune on 18°43 Pisces. Neptune is the dream itself, the enlightenment and the inspiration. It is the lucid dream that contrasts the nightmare and is mainly felt by Pisces, Taurus, and Capricorn Signs born near the end of the second and the beginning of the third decan.

Mercury trine Neptune eases the mind from the compulsion described before as long as we have faith. It is in simple words an aspect that says that it’s the right time to think on our dreams and get inspired by them.

Neptune trine Mars is creativity, inspired action, charm, motivation and spirituality. It is courageous spirit towards a higher goal and the sense of fulfillment when one is in tune with the universe.

Neptune sextile Saturn helps with the grounding of the energy described above. Once inspired and having set our creativity towards the chosen goal, the aspect gives us the patience and the ability to be realistic about the circumstances and the opportunities that will be presented.

Neptune sextile Pluto is the very subtle psychic ability to tap into the dream world. A generational aspect that is mainly associated with the New Age or the modern Spirituality, which in this chart plays the role of the intuitive call towards what our soul desires.

Towards the dream.

… These are the delicate webs, shimmering and beautifully lit.

And last, one final thread the Jupiter square Neptune aspect, that holds the dream as it is, checking it, calling us to pay attention because great expectations may  bring great disillusions.

FULL MOON IN LIBRA 19 APRIL 2019

FULL MOON IN LIBRA 19 APRIL 2019: The Last Hard Mile

FULL MOON IN LIBRA 19 APRIL 2019

The Full Moon takes place at 29°and 06’ of the Libra Sign. It strongly affects Aries and Libra Signs and also Cancer and Capricorn Signs which are born at the last days, as well as those having personal planets, points or their Ascendant, near the 27° – 29° degrees of the Cardinal Cross.

The proximity of the Full Moon to the first degrees of the Fixed Cross affects also Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius persons that are born in the first 2 days of their Sign, or those hose having personal planets, points or their Ascendant, near the 00° – 02° degrees of the Fixed Cross.

For those of you that feel that these last two weeks was like walking on a muddy terrain, with each step sinking deeper, this Full Moon marks the hard last mile. The last period of trudging through, towards breaking free again, able to spur into limitless action.

But in order to feel free again, one has to find the courage to make the necessary breaks. Freedom costs, and freedom is in its essence an internal psychological state.

That is the difficulty and the crisis that this full moon in Libra presents.

Request your Astrology Reading by Andrew Ifandis

Have you noticed? We are having a Full Moon in Libra, again!

The last Full Moon took place on 21st of March 2019 and it was at 00°09’ of the Sign, with this one now happening at 29°06’. The previous one marked a pivotal period that now comes to completion with this full moon.

The previous, with its timing and emphasis on the critical 0° marked the urge for something new that had to emerge out of the crisis, while this one, is the ending of the beginning.

This Full Moon in Libra is the last labor pains before the birth of our individual expression breaks free. A breaking free that is astrologically symbolized by the participation of planet Uranus into the Full Moon.

Uranus is in a tight conjunction with the Sun in Aries. Our very self, our will, has to be expressed with dynamism and zeal. We want to renew ourselves and to make changes that are the result of our unique and original expression. This Moon calls for self-realization, (Sun conjunct Uranus in Aries.)

We have to attain this, because this is the last step (29° anaretic degree) prior to regaining our inner value, our tranquility and our peace of mind, (symbolized by Taurus the next Sign after the 29° Aries).

But this is not easy because with the Sun in the last degree of Aries we find ourselves in a difficult situation. If we assert ourselves too much and we have a reactive behavior, it is quite possible to unbalance our relationships in an irrevocable way.

The Moon in Libra seeks balance, diplomacy and compromise. It wants harmony, aesthetics and sharing of feelings with others. But if the important others do not agree with our choices, feelings tend to erupt (Uranus opposition Moon). Tactfulness, patience and thoughtfulness towards others says the heart but how to do it and being ourselves at the same time?

This hesitancy (Libra) to acτ (Aries), is about to end.

The muddling started with Mercury retrograde in Pisces. Α retrogradation that started from 29° Pisces, another anaretic degree, that marked both a slowness in progress and a guilty retrospection. Thoughts were not clear, over idealized and daydream prevailed over practicality.

This is about to end.

Mercury moved direct again on March 28th , but still moving within its shadow and within the Sign of Pisces for the past weeks, gave lack of clarity and a lack of determination, while at the same time we were expending ourselves with too much of a Piscean compassion and understanding of others.

This is about to end.

FULL MOON IN LIBRA 19 APRIL 2019

The chart is difficult.

The two Lights are still in a wide separating T-Square with Pluto. The psychological pressure must have been great. The sentimental manipulation from others must have been exhausting.

This too, is about to end.

Mercury will enter Aries on the 17th of April, two days before the Full Moon. At last our thinking will be cleared. Entering Aries, Mercury will come into mutual reception with Mars in Gemini.

At last! Thinking and action will become one. Decisiveness will come, and most important we shall find the courage to speak our mind.

This is the tricky part of this Full Moon in Libra and where cautiousness is needed. We have to be us, speak us, and move on from the sentimental wallow and into clear words. But under Uranus rebellious energy we have to be cautious. Do not give in. Do not compromise but also do not erupt in anger or arguments.

One more astrological reason that says that we have to be cautious, is the fact that two days after the full moon Mars will enter into out of bounds declination, contra- parallel to Jupiter. Unbridled, uncontrolled, excessive and in a high-energy state.

Picture the movement of the planets.

Two days before this Full Moon that wants us not to compromise and brings a crisis in the balance of relationships, we will feel the need to speak our mind and to move on, while two days after the full moon, our energy will be so high that it will be difficult to control.

There’s a saying, “to make an omelette you have to crack a few eggs”.

That is what this Full Moon wants from us.

To have the courage to confront oppositions in relationships, and to express our individuality even if we have to argue. We have to slowly and cautiously move on, with clear head and free of unnecessary sentimentalism. We have to be prepared for sudden eruptions and arguments, but at the same time to use all confrontation in the most constructive way. To rebuild and renew our relationships through them.

We just have to break some eggs… without spilling everything onto others faces.

Be prepared, be firm.

We need just a small push to get out of the muddy terrain and after the small crisis that this Full Moon brings, all will be renewed under the Sun.

NEW MOON IN ARIES 2019

NEW MOON IN ARIES 5 APRIL 2019: How Soon Is Now?

NEW MOON IN ARIES 2019

The New Moon takes place at 15°17’ of the Sign of Aries. It mainly affects Aries and Libra Signs and also Cancer and Capricorn Signs which are born in the second decan, as well as those having personal planets, points or their Ascendant, near the 13° -17° degrees of the Cardinal Cross.

There is a lyric that says… “And when you want to live how do you start, where you go, who you need to know?”.

This is in a sense the question, that the New Moon in Aries which takes place on April the 5th, poses for each one of us. Because from one hand it is a very good opportunity for starts, but on the other hand it presents us with some serious challenges.

But let’s take first things first, as this is an Aries New Moon.

Request your Astrology Reading by Andrew Ifandis

Each New Moon is the beginning of a new cycle, and when it is a New Moon that takes place in the pioneering, dynamic, impulsive, and self-expressive Aries Sign, it is more than just a new chapter.

Now, we have the first moon of the new Astrological Year which has commenced on the day of the Spring Equinox.

This New Moon in Aries is Chapter Number One.

We ourselves are number one under this New Moon. We feel that now is the time for a full expression of our own identity. We can be bold and we may rush, we want things done, and done our own way.

But the problem with this particular New Moon in Aries is that our expression and feelings are held in check.

The only major aspect that the two Lights make, is that of an applying square to the planet Saturn in Capricorn. What a pity, that our passionate intensity, our impulsive disposition, our dynamism to act are challenged.

We aim for preeminence and Saturn speaks of moderation. We feel an urgency to act quickly and Saturn says that we need to have patience. We try to be ourselves and someone else wants us to behave differently.

Saturn here is the very reality that does not allow us to be or to do what we want and in the way we want it.

It may be responsibilities that delay our plans. It may be practical difficulties that make us hesitant to accept a new job offer. It may be a father figure or a person of authority that oppose our actions.

Even worse it may be our own fears, our own pessimism, or just a sense of “This is too hard” that place obstacles in our path…

NEW MOON IN ARIES APRIL 5 2019

This New Moon in Aries is also disposited by planet Mars. Once more emphasizing the New Moon’s hold back motif, Mars is in a sesquiquadrate aspect to Saturn.

Sesquiquadrates are subtle challenges that have a learning character, but unlike squares they cannot be easily felt or understood. They require a passing of time till the conflict they represent surfaces and is eventually confronted.

The sesquiquadrate aspect between Mars and Saturn may denote that things follow a very slow process as they move, and the more they delay the more frustrated we become.

The rush with which we want to act is pressing us all the more. We are deeply in need of breaking into the new, and in our hurry to do it quickly, we become impatient.

The more impatient we get, the more we may feel the consequences of the Mercury square Jupiter aspect, resulting in us saying more than needed, seeing the big picture but avoiding minor details, or promising more that we can deliver.

Patience is needed…

Fortunately,

Mercury sextile Saturn, an aspect that comes exact two days after the New Moon, make us to communicate in a responsible manner and clears our thinking.

Mercury sextile Pluto, focuses our concentration and gives persuasive power.

These two aspects help to balance the fog and the ambiguity created from the prolonged conjunction of Mercury and Neptune in Pisces, something that clouded our vision with retro nostalgia during the days when Mercury was retrograde.

We have to work on the good expression of these two planets. For example instead of arguing with the father figure we may speak to him with compassion. Βy sharing our dream with him, to inspire him, and make him our ally and not our opposer.

Let us be cautious then because this New Moon, though promising of a new beginning is also demanding, frustrating and oppressive.

Let us be prudent. We have to master Saturn in order to overcome this New Moon’s sombre and challenging character so as to fully to exploit its potential for a new start.

Let us attune with Neptune’s higher vibrations to inspire ourselves and avoid the pitfalls of disillusionment before we even begin.

The energy of Neptune-Mercury conjunction in Pisces combined with the New Moon squaring Saturn in Capricorn that characterizes the chart, reminds me of something a dear friend wrote.

“We decorate ourselves with lots of lies to endure everyday life and forget that by doing it, we cower our bright and strong soul who wants to be expressed with joy, intensity and passion!

The biggest lie we say to ourselves is “I cannot”. And we say so often that in the end it becomes part of our truth.

So when we want to live how do we start, where we go, who we need to know?

We start with patience, we go within and till the end and we need to know no one else but our own self.

P.S. The mundane expression of the New Moon that activates the eclipse of January the 6th will be difficult and we may witness some serious events in the next days. But this is another story…
