Sharing is caring:

FULL MOON IN ARIES - 1 OCTOBER 2020

The Full Moon takes place at 09°08′ of the Sign of Aries. It opens wounds for Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn persons,  who are born in the last days of the first decan, or in the first days of the second decan, as well as to those having personal planets, points or their Ascendant, near the 07° – 11° degrees.

It also brings upset and crisis to Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn persons of the third decan and especially those that have personal planets, points or their Ascendant, near the 22° – 26° degrees of the above Signs, since they are under the pressure of Mars squares to Saturn and Pluto.

FULL MOON IN ARIES OCTOBER 1st

By astrologer, Andrew Ifandis

The Full Moon in Aries, at midnight on October 1st, invites us to face our wounds and to be healed psychologically.

It is a Moon that brings emphasis to our relationships. On the one hand we feel the need to express our individuality and truth, without compromises, simply, clearly, and straightforwardly, and on the other hand we know that doing this may cause friction, upset the balance in our personal or professional relationships, and result in anguish.

It is a Full Moon that makes us see clearly that up to now we have put quite enough water in our wine by accepting behaviors and situations from others, just for the sake of avoiding the inevitable and at the expense of our own self-expression.

Under the influence of this Full Moon that is exactly that is paramount. To reach a healthy expression of our ego and our individuality that serves our relations.

A few days before the Full Moon and for the next two weeks, we are also called to see how vulnerable we are. We are called to face past feelings of inadequacy and our inability to assert and surpass ourselves.

Let us look our limitations face to face and put aside our pretexts. Now is the time, the pressure and the sorrow that we have felt until today, and all that scratched wounds of the past, to finally come to a halt.

Healthy relationships need truth and equality. The “I” and the “We” to move forward together, and that to be something that both sides seek and try.

So, let’s explain to others WHAT it is that hurts us, and WHY it hurts us.

But is that easy? Showing how vulnerable we are is a two-sided coin.

The Moon is in Aries and this position makes it dynamic – aggressive, and always ready for arguments. So the danger exists to easily color our deepest and most repressed emotions with competition or even anger. The Aries’ impulsive way is not the best way to show how we feel, especially now, when the intensity of emotions under the influence of this Full Moon is even greater.

You see, this Full Moon in Aries, in addition to pain and inadequacy is also full of accumulated anger, tension and psychological outbursts, as Mars moving retrograde forms squares to Saturn, Pluto and Jupiter in Capricorn – resulting in the very thing that we want to avoid if we do not put effort… and this is real hell!

So, beware of anger because balance is difficult to maintain.

But explaining how we feel and why we feel it remains essentially important. While this may create additional problems and quarrels – as the other person may react defensively, or even aggressively, to what he hears, on the other hand… it may be necessary to provoke the clash.

Necessary because the dilemma of separation and backlash that the quincunx aspect of the Sun to Uranus means to both persons in the union, a way out has to be found.

The positive aspects between Mars, Venus and the Lunar Nodes -aspects that connect the two rulers of the Lights in a karmic pattern that can evolve us, are the aspects that can works towards something good to emerge through the conflict and the tension. They may show how we will be able to finally find a way out. A way out that will come ONLY IF the two “I’s” in the relationship work in a spirit of cooperation and harmony.

This Full Moon in Aries hides enormous intensity. But behind this tension lies also the power that it has either to bring closure to our wounds, or to liberate us by moving us forward.

The aim of this Full Moon in Aries is not to avoid clash and confrontation. Its goal is to ooze the pus out from the wound, clean it, and heal it.

And this will happen, if we first we ourselves accept our wounds, understand them, and then share them with our loved ones. Share them NOT to blame them for them, but instead to ask them… to heal us.

On a cosmic level it is needless to say that it will be a very difficult full moon which will unfortunately make matters even more difficult as the pressure grows between the need for self-protection (Moon in Aries meeting with Chiron), social distancing and security (Sun in Libra cross with Uranus in Taurus) and the imposition of more strict measures or even quarantines (Mars square with Saturn).

Read more about the difficult period we are going through in my article entitled “The Perfect Storm”.

In any case, I wish you all a good Full Moon and to be full of health.

CHIRON IN ARIES 2019-2027 – The Centaur And The Selfish Gene

Chiron in Aries

CHIRON IN ARIES 2019-2027

The Centaur And The Selfish Gene

Chiron, the minor planet and comet, an astronomical body with a dual nature just like the mythological Centaur Chiron, enters the zodiac of Aries.

Chiron will transit the Aries sign from February 18, 2019 until June 19, 2026 when he will enter the Sign of Taurus. There he will remain for a while, and will return back to Aries from September 17, 2026 up until April 14, 2027 when he will again enter Taurus for good.

Chiron astrologically, depending on the sign in which he is, represents the area where the person experiences an intense trauma or feelings of inadequacy. At the same time Chiron shows us the area in which a person can cure the self, by facing the trauma and thus overcoming failure.

When Chiron is placed in the Sign of Aries it is associated with an identity trauma, a wound regarding healthy egoism or a trauma of self-expression.

Chiron in Aries is an inability to express our deep inner voice, that shouts “be yourself”. A voice which we do not hear. It is the inability to defend our ego or the inability to accept our identity and our uniqueness.

Depending on the level of maturity and awareness, we have the ability to either put a balm on the wound and heal it or use its pus and keep it open. BUT Chiron eventually will bring us face to face with our most deep inward pain.

Chiron reminds us that part of being successful is knowing how to manage failure. It reminds us that a prerequisite for healing others is that we have first achieved self-healing, and we can be the example because we have experienced the solution and have found the way out of the pain.

From within the Sign of Aries, and especially for those who have a Chiron return during the time that the Centaur will remain there, Chiron calls us to avoid the negative expression of his astrological position and to follow the positive.

Negative Expression

  1. We want to be better than the rest and it hurt us when this is not the case.
  2. We are conceited and all our actions aim solely at self-confirmation.
  3. We do not believe in ourselves and we feel inadequate in regards to expressing our sexuality and healthy egoism.

Positive Expression

  1. We feel and know that we do not have to compare ourselves with others.
  2. We forgive ourselves if in the past we did not believe so much in us and we move forward having love for ourselves and awareness of our value.
  3. Loving ourselves in the right way, does not make us conceited, but instead allows us to be well within in moments of still and solitude. It gives us the power to heal our own wounds and to be an example and an inspiration for others.

It is not that difficult. In the end, Chiron as he transits the sign of Aries, only wants us to accept ourselves. To accept every negative, every weakness, every inadequacy, every failure.

This very acceptance is what will give us the power to heal our own wounds and to be an example and inspiration for others.

FULL MOON IN ARIES SEPTEMBER 2018: The Dark Night of the Soul

Sharing is caring:

FULL MOON IN ARIES SEPTEMBER 2018

This Full Moon in Aries will bring tension and tests to the relationships of Aries and Libra Signs and increased responsibility to home and career for Cancer and Capricorn Signs.

Planet Mars in conjunction to the South Node shall affect the Signs of the Fixed Cross (Leo, Aquarius, Scorpio, and Taurus).

This Full Moon has a potent dynamic and depending on where it falls on our personal horoscope it affects all of us that are having personal planets, angles and points in the above Signs, and especially those that are born in the first decan of these Signs.

An autumnal Full Moon in Aries is taking place on September 24th 2018.

The characterization autumnal is twice appropriate for this full moon, since besides its seasonal character, in addition it describes the mood that this full moon creates.

But let’s take first things first.

This is a Full Moon in Aries. The moon when in the Sign of Aries, though bold it may be, is at the same time an ego-centered, impatient moon that rushes headlong into confrontation if provoked. A Moon placed here makes us to respond quick and immediate to external stimuli, something that now that the Moon is fully lit by the Sun opposite her, is accentuated.

Every full moon is the tension of something culminating or coming to fulfillment and when the Aries Moon is fully opposite the Sun in Libra, the tension is others and relationships.

  • Should we be Competitive or Compromising?
  • Can we two work together?
  • Should we boldly express our needs or should we find delicate ways to make others understand what is that we want of them?

These are some of the themes of this archetypal opposition and this particular Full Moon in Aries brings these issues to the fore and moreover adds a tone of melancholy, heated discussions and embitterment in the whole mix.

Words may hurt

The main players of the Full Moon are each one conjunct to another body. Sun in Libra is making a conjunction with Mercury and Moon a conjunction with Chiron in Aries.

Try to imagine now how the mix is changed. It is very difficult for a person to compromise one opposition, let alone the four ones formed in the Full Moon in Aries chart.

  • Chiron opposes Sun
  • Chiron opposes Mercury
  • Mercury opposes Moon
  • Mercury opposes Chiron

The tension feels like a disagreement between an already wounded and touchy female and an intellectual and diplomatic man that tries to find a way to compromise without succumbing to emotional blackmail.

Especially with this Full Moon where Mercury is conjunct the Sun in Libra, common sense and logic require discussions and a climate of co-operation in order to avoid conflicts.

We have to communicate but at the same time we must be careful of what we are saying and how we are saying it, because Mercury in opposition with the Moon brings difficulties in expression and can make us communicate what we feel in a totally erroneous manner.

The woman’s hurt feelings cannot be easily soothed by the man’s logical approach. Regardless of how balanced and compromising words he may use, the opposition of Chiron to Mercury drags up memories of emotional pain.

“You talk to me with words, I talk to you with feelings”, she says.

Respect, Truth and Warmth

On top of these already over-emotional and stressed oppositions, planet Saturn stands as a merciless judge, being in a square aspect to all participating bodies.

Saturn is once more direct in the Sign of Capricorn from September the 6th, and now demands truth, integrity and responsibility. Within the aspect patterns of this full moon, Saturn is the focal planet of two T-squares that involve the Moon – Chiron conjunction on one side, and the Sun-Mercury conjunction on the other.

So if we include Saturn, we are having four more aspects that cast their gloom and somber tone on the picture.

  • Saturn squares Sun
  • Saturn squares Mercury
  • Saturn squares Moon
  • Saturn squares Chiron

To continue with the illustration I gave before, the man has to balance between being overly strict, resulting in exerting much emotional pressure on one side, and not clearly defining where his limits are, on the other, something that will result in the problem of them being crossed again.

He has to think clearly and be fair, avoiding misunderstandings and his darker expression.

The woman has to find the courage to overcome her sadness and fears and to cope with the situation understanding that it is a natural process towards addressing the relationship issues successfully and result in overall healing and well-being.

She does not have to feel inadequate, on the contrary, the square of Saturn the great teacher with Chiron the wounded healer, is a challenge to treat herself and her partner with respect and genuine warmth. It is the necessary friction that she has to transcend in order to cross the barrier of suffering and communicate her feelings with truth and kindness.

A trigger for closure

That would be the ideal, all of us to be able to grasp the hard aspects and to use them constructively and at will, but as we know this is more easily said than done.

This Full Moon in Aries is a pivotal Full Moon with Mars conjunct the South Node at 4° of the Aquarius Sign, a degree that is triggering the Lunar Eclipse of the 27th of July. All the issues that have emerged from the difficult summer have now to be faced and dealt with, even if risking a possible split or final loss.

Fortunately Mars is direct this time, and it is making a sextile to the Moon in Aries (that it also rules), and a trine to the Sun in Libra. Both aspects easing the tension and aiding discussions and the means to finding a common ground.

But in order to do so Mars demands co-operative spirit, healthy ego and the rationalization of the pent-up emotions in true Aquarian spirit.

We have to be patient also…

This Full Moon in Aries is the Dark Night of the Soul, a night with a potential for transformation through healing both for us and for our relations.

As Joseph Campbell said:

“The Dark Night of the Soul comes just before revelation.

When everything is lost, and all seems darkness, then comes the new life, and all that is needed.”

PISCES NEW MOON – 17 MARCH 2018: Faith & Conviction

Sharing is caring:

Pisces New Moon 17 March 2018

The New Moon takes place in 26°and 53’of the Sign of Pisces. It strongly affects Virgo and Pisces Signs and also Gemini and Sagittarius Signs which are born towards the end of the third decan, as well as those having personal planets or their Ascendant near the 24° -28° degrees of the mutable cross.

Each New Moon is a beginning. A moment in the cosmic time where the conscious and the unconscious merge together, and this momentary unity becomes the perfect timing for us to align our needs with our will.

This New Moon falls in the Sign of Pisces. Within here, needs are transcendental and “to be” is “to dream”. It is a New Moon that carries themes of ideal love, poetry, compassion, fantasy, martyrdom and sacrifice, all characteristics of the mutable water Sign.

It is a New Moon that wants to answer the dilemma posed by the Full Moon in Virgo that took place in March the 2nd. How we serve the ideal and be practical at the same time?  How we work so as to make the ideal a realization?

At first glance, it seems easy to believe in ideals and to hold on to dreams, as the conjunction of Sun and Moon in Pisces inspires our heart and soul. To be inspired is the first step towards making something true and this New Moon sets in gentle motion, gentle emotions.

At the same time Mars from Sagittarius is in a square aspect to both the Sun and the Moon. Let’s ponder for a moment…

Do we rush to realize what we want? Are we competing ourselves or others undeservedly? Or is it maybe that we feel that we have to spontaneously act (Mars in Sagittarius) instead of passively listening to our intuitive inner voice (Moon in Pisces)?

Pisces New Moon

Chiron close by the two Lights at 28°, is emphasizing on the martyred Piscean motive but its influence is one of healing for ourselves and significant others.

Chiron may work miracles as an instrument of healing by us expressing through art, or by letting our senses absorb art, poetry and music. More importantly, healing comes by showing to others our intensely felt compassion. All these are qualities that may very easily manifest in our psyche under this Piscean New Moon.

There is a reason why we are feeling the influence of Chiron in a positive manner, though Chiron makes a hard aspect to Mars.

The square aspect uncovers our insecurity and may bring a remembrance of inadequacy. This disillusioning may result in a temporary lack of our conviction. But as this is a separating aspect, with Mars moving away from the Centaur, so the whole Mars influence is lessened to quite an extent.

At the same time, Jupiter in its retrograde motion through the Sign of Scorpio, is approaching the Lunation and the Centaur, making a trine aspect to all three bodies and in this way it amplifies Chiron’s healing qualities.

The combined result of all these aspects taken together, is that as the Lunation dream begins to manifest, as our hopes begin to arise, as we feel inspired and compassionate, some feelings of restlessness, a sense of us not being able to cope with the situation may appear.

Jupiter in its retrograde motion makes us reconsider our core values and questions our ethical stance.

But Jupiter the great benefic brings us wisdom in the guise of a warning.

Only by delving deep into our incentives (Jupiter in Scorpio retrograde) and by remaining true to our ideal, it is that we will surpass any inadequacies and then the inflow of generous feelings will inspire us to move on.

So this New Moon may not be as dreamy as it seems at first glance. It has a quality of testing the truth within us and strengthening our conviction.

This Piscean lunation does not bring the “dream” into reality.

What it does is that it plants a seed of faith in our hearts and along with this faith it requires our patience.

It sets in motion a healing process and makes us strong.

This is the gift of this Pisces New Moon and it is a practical gift, in the sense that it starts a cycle of renewed faith, that will accompany us during the difficult period that the next Full Moon in Libra brings.

Find out where the New Moon falls in your chart

and embrace its promise for renewal.
