The New Moon in Libra on September 25th is a beautiful moon that renews relationships and sets the stage for more balance and harmony in our lives.

Each New Moon is a new beginning, a cosmic reset in the universal clock and brings with it the opportunity to reboot the sector of our horoscope in which it falls. The New Moon in Libra awakens within us a need to relate, to communicate, to enjoy more beauty and simplicity with loved ones.

Libra is the sign of diplomacy and negotiation, so we now have the opportunity to resolve issues in relationships and partnerships that have been troubling us in the near past.

The best way to take advantage of the energy of this New Moon is to work on rebalancing our relationships. To see not only our own side but also that of others, and to appreciate the people who are important as our teammates rather than our adversaries.

The New Moon makes an important aspect as Mercury conjuncts Venus very close to her, at the last degrees of Virgo. The combined energy of the New Moon, Venus, and Mercury allows for a soft and tension-free review of what has been happening in existing relationships, and infuses discussions and communication with necessary moderation and a spirit of humility so that conflicts can be avoided and necessary compromises can be found.

However, following the middle way will not be easy, as the New Moon is in close opposition to Jupiter, the planet of abundance and excess. Jupiter’s influence could greatly enhance our emotionality and lead us to over-exaggerate feelings.

Jupiter will awaken in all of us the need for togetherness.

“Two lovers embraced pass before me and God knows how sad I feel,” says one lyric, and that very longing for union bubbles up and comes to the surface with this Moon for those who are single.

But now this longing is not an unattainable and unfulfilled desire, since as Mercury is retrograde and in its conjunction with Venus, it can bring encounters and the prospect of something new romantically, which however have the potential to come to fruition after October 2nd, when Mercury will be direct again.

With the New Moon in Libra, those of you who are single are advised to ask yourselves if you can make room in your life for a new relationship. Are you ready and willing to re-adjust parts of your life to make room for a partner? Jupiter’s opposition as it is retrograde in Aries asks you to be honest with yourself and ONLY after you have given yourself the answers then prospects will open up and what is meant to be, will be.

Another reason this New Moon awakens passion and longing for a relationship is that the conjunction between Venus and Mercury retrograde, is in a harmonious trine aspect with Pluto in Capricorn. The potential for metamorphosis that the New Moon brings in the emotional realm is VERY great, as it brings deep realizations in your perceptions of what a relationship means and in your own relationships!

For the end I have left a special aspect that from my studies in astrology I consider very important in this New Moon.

Mars in Gemini is in a quintile aspect to Jupiter. In this aspect lies a secret. Something that is not indicated by the main aspects we have analyzed.

The secret is to give intentional emphasis to what you desire on the New Moon day and to believe deeply that it will manifest. Jupiter’s esoteric and magnifying influence and Mars’ ambivalent and fluid desire in Gemini have hidden alchemical possibilities at the time of this New Moon…

The New Moon in Libra is all about relationships and renewing them. It may also set the seed for new relationships and marks the beginning of changes that will come gradually, as October progresses, and Venus will be conjunct the Sun for several days, thus improving even more relationships till the end of the month when we have the important Solar Eclipse on October the 25th.

For the time being, take advantage of the momentum of this Libra New Moon and set your intentions to have more harmony and balance in your life.

Wishing a wonderful New Moon to all of you!

The Full Moon in Libra on the 16th of April is clearly a moon that affects, influences, brings to a critical point and redefines or ends relationships.

It occurs in a mix of positive as well as intensely difficult aspects and so works completely differently based on the point at which it falls in your chart.

Why is this Full Moon a bit more about our relationships than others?

In astrology, every full moon is an act of balance.

It is the culmination of a process that begins with the New Moon and culminates with the Full Moon.

During the full moon period our needs are experienced more acutely and come to the fore in the light of the Sun. The challenge is to bring together what we need with our desires.

We are therefore challenged with this Full Moon to create a balance on the Libra – Aries axis. This is the very axis of relationships in Astrology, since Aries is associated to the self and Libra with togetherness.

With the Moon in the Sign of Libra we try to reconcile our emotions, and find harmonious balances in how we interact with others around us.

Directly opposite her, the Sun in Aries, our conscious self, projects our individuality into these emotions and vigorously advocates an “I” greater than the “We”.

With this Full Moon in Libra on April the 16th, balancing this pressure is something that demands a lot of work!

It requires painful dissections and looking in depth at relationship issues that have been hidden for quite some time. Issues that are now coming to the surface and calling us to see our own “Shadow”.

We need to work on our darker sides. To face head on our own conditioning, jealousy, manipulation, power plays and cruelty.

Our own dark moons of Pluto. The snakes that are slithering in the coveted Garden of Eden that we dream of for ourselves and our loved ones.

This is the T-Square that Pluto makes with the Full Moon and ONLY if we cast the Light of self-analysis on our Shadows can we emerge from the darkness, empowered and with relationships renewed.

This would be difficult to achieve especially for Aries, Libra, Cancer and Capricorns born in the last five days of their Sign and who are receiving most of the pressure.

The Full Moon occurs four days after the Jupiter and Neptune conjunction in Pisces. The Moon in Libra, in 150° degrees aspect to this conjunction, raises the very question of how we can again find inspiration and share a common dream with our partner, without losing ourselves at the same time.

Will we make it or will we sever the relationship permanently?

And Time – Saturn…

on one side comes to help, as it brings responsibility, accountability and truth in expressing our feelings when we have those important conversations.

But on the other side it brings, the burden of choice to ALL of us  as it will be squaring the Nodes of the Moon until late Fall, calling us to take our destiny into our own hands!

Take your time… think hard…

Speak your truth if tensions and discussions with your other half arise under this Moon.

Hopefully Mercury in conjunction to Uranus forms a very favorable sextile to Venus, and so conversations between you and your partner are favoured.

For those of you that are single, this Full Moon will stir up strong feelings of loneliness and the need to be in a relationship. It will leave a bittersweet feeling that something needs to change within you in how you approach and what you seek from a relationship.

It will be something like a psychoanalysis into the loneliness of longing for connection…

…and the shadows will be flickering on the wall of self-protection one erects when one is simply afraid to see oneself through the mirror of another’s eyes.

On a more positive note, the sextile that Uranus and Mercury make to Venus may, for those of you who single, provide opportunities for flirting and new acquaintances. Especially if you have personal planets at 11°- 14° degrees of Taurus, Pisces, Capricorn, Scorpio, Cancer, Leo, Aquarius.

This is a difficult Full Moon at the outset, but it will work supportively in the end I would like to believe. And that is because in yet another positive aspect, the two Lights, a few days after the Full Moon, will make beautiful aspects with Mars.

The Sun sextile to Mars, and the Moon trine to Mars, and so will be channelling the initial pressure of this Moon into decisions made mutually, into taking action, into refreshed vitality, or simply… into pure sexual passion!

I wish you all to manage the particularly intense energy of this Full Moon in Libra in the best possible way. To make the necessary incisions and to take the best possible decisions, for yourself first of all!

NEW MOON IN LIBRA, OCTOBER 6 2021

By astrologer, Andrew Ifandis

The New Moon takes place at 13°25′ of Libra and affects us all, but especially Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn persons born in the first five days of the 2nd decan, as well as those of you who have personal planets or angles of your horoscope near the degrees 11°-15° of the above Signs.

The New Moon in Libra has a Karmic flair, with closing of cycles for those of you who are last-day Scorpios, or Libras born near the end of the 1st decan and the beginning of the 2nd decan. Karmic flair also for Sagittarius and Gemini persons born in the first days of their Sign.

Dynamism and Nerves

The energy of this New Moon is at first a dynamism. It is action, zest, enthusiasm, vitality. It is boldness, action, motivation towards a new beginning, which relates to the area of our horoscope, that is, the House in which the New Moon falls in our astrological chart.

But it is also a moon that brings impatience and excitement, so while it’s  important and positive to initially feel its momentum, it might also be good to understand that we need to temper it.

We need to temper it because Mercury is retrograde and conjunct planet Mars, an aspect that requires caution so that everything we do is well-thought and is seen from both sides. We need to be careful for misunderstandings or misinterpretations, as a result of impulsiveness and rush.

This Moon needs us to be alert for tempers, anger and tantrums since Uranus is in an inconjunct aspect to the two Lights and to planet Mars. An aspect of communication breakdown and sudden tensions.

It is an aspect expressing an incompatibility between how quickly we want to experience changes around us filled with excitement and momentum and how important it is we’ll be able to balance and communicate our wants and aspirations properly and harmoniously.

The opportunity this Moon presents

But on the other hand, this New Moon is a great opportunity because this inconjunct aspect is also something more. As Mercury is retrograde, moving towards Mars and Uranus, the aspect operates like a sudden blackout, where the power goes out, the lights go out, and we have a total reset of the system.

That’s exactly the opportunity to make a leap in consciousness, to overcome annoyances in relations, as well as entrenched behaviors in the way we communicate.

It is consolidation (Taurus), shaken by Uranus, after the necessary introspection of Mercury, about how we communicate harmoniously in our relationships (Libra), so that a new way (Uranus) of acting (Mars) and communicating harmoniously, is found.

It’s this new harmony that this Moon suddenly brings, I would say even better, this new perception of harmony in the area that is affecting your personal chart.

Closing Cycles and Healing

It is also possible, that this New Moon in Libra will renew contacts with people from the past in an attempt to close wounds and traumas and bring a sense of vindication.

You see, the inconjunct aspect is considered a karmic one. As Mars and the Lights are in opposition to Chiron in Aries, and Mercury is retrograde in the sign of relationships, the sudden enlightenment caused by Uranus inconjunct, the new perception I mentioned earlier – this redefinition of relationships and attitudes, can be easily be expressed towards persons of our past in an attempt to close karmic cycles and find peace and tranquillity.

Any such past person contact will be temporary and short-lived, because it is caused by Uranus and because Venus, the planet ruling the New Moon, is conjunct the South Node and is Scorpio in an anaretic degree. Simply calling us to make one last, soul-searching, contact, prior we move forward towards the new, with optimism and enthusiasm.

Moving Forward

And forward we shall move after the tantrums, tensions and mental flash of this New Moon, since:

  • Pluto turns direct a few hours after the New Moon, thus completing months of psychological excavation and psychological cleansing,
  • Venus enters Sagittarius a day later, and we begin to relate more freely and casually,
  • Saturn also turns direct on October 11, supporting developments and diligence
  • and Jupiter and Mercury turn also direct on October 18, accelerating our moving forward with optimism.

I wish you to all to make the best use of this beautiful New Moon !!

FULL MOON IN LIBRA 19 APRIL 2019

FULL MOON IN LIBRA 19 APRIL 2019: The Last Hard Mile

Sharing is caring:

FULL MOON IN LIBRA 19 APRIL 2019

The Full Moon takes place at 29°and 06’ of the Libra Sign. It strongly affects Aries and Libra Signs and also Cancer and Capricorn Signs which are born at the last days, as well as those having personal planets, points or their Ascendant, near the 27° – 29° degrees of the Cardinal Cross.

The proximity of the Full Moon to the first degrees of the Fixed Cross affects also Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius persons that are born in the first 2 days of their Sign, or those hose having personal planets, points or their Ascendant, near the 00° – 02° degrees of the Fixed Cross.

For those of you that feel that these last two weeks was like walking on a muddy terrain, with each step sinking deeper, this Full Moon marks the hard last mile. The last period of trudging through, towards breaking free again, able to spur into limitless action.

But in order to feel free again, one has to find the courage to make the necessary breaks. Freedom costs, and freedom is in its essence an internal psychological state.

That is the difficulty and the crisis that this full moon in Libra presents.

Have you noticed? We are having a Full Moon in Libra, again!

The last Full Moon took place on 21st of March 2019 and it was at 00°09’ of the Sign, with this one now happening at 29°06’. The previous one marked a pivotal period that now comes to completion with this full moon.

The previous, with its timing and emphasis on the critical 0° marked the urge for something new that had to emerge out of the crisis, while this one, is the ending of the beginning.

This Full Moon in Libra is the last labor pains before the birth of our individual expression breaks free. A breaking free that is astrologically symbolized by the participation of planet Uranus into the Full Moon.

Uranus is in a tight conjunction with the Sun in Aries. Our very self, our will, has to be expressed with dynamism and zeal. We want to renew ourselves and to make changes that are the result of our unique and original expression. This Moon calls for self-realization, (Sun conjunct Uranus in Aries.)

We have to attain this, because this is the last step (29° anaretic degree) prior to regaining our inner value, our tranquility and our peace of mind, (symbolized by Taurus the next Sign after the 29° Aries).

But this is not easy because with the Sun in the last degree of Aries we find ourselves in a difficult situation. If we assert ourselves too much and we have a reactive behavior, it is quite possible to unbalance our relationships in an irrevocable way.

The Moon in Libra seeks balance, diplomacy and compromise. It wants harmony, aesthetics and sharing of feelings with others. But if the important others do not agree with our choices, feelings tend to erupt (Uranus opposition Moon). Tactfulness, patience and thoughtfulness towards others says the heart but how to do it and being ourselves at the same time?

This hesitancy (Libra) to acτ (Aries), is about to end.

The muddling started with Mercury retrograde in Pisces. Α retrogradation that started from 29° Pisces, another anaretic degree, that marked both a slowness in progress and a guilty retrospection. Thoughts were not clear, over idealized and daydream prevailed over practicality.

This is about to end.

Mercury moved direct again on March 28th , but still moving within its shadow and within the Sign of Pisces for the past weeks, gave lack of clarity and a lack of determination, while at the same time we were expending ourselves with too much of a Piscean compassion and understanding of others.

This is about to end.

FULL MOON IN LIBRA 19 APRIL 2019

The chart is difficult.

The two Lights are still in a wide separating T-Square with Pluto. The psychological pressure must have been great. The sentimental manipulation from others must have been exhausting.

This too, is about to end.

Mercury will enter Aries on the 17th of April, two days before the Full Moon. At last our thinking will be cleared. Entering Aries, Mercury will come into mutual reception with Mars in Gemini.

At last! Thinking and action will become one. Decisiveness will come, and most important we shall find the courage to speak our mind.

This is the tricky part of this Full Moon in Libra and where cautiousness is needed. We have to be us, speak us, and move on from the sentimental wallow and into clear words. But under Uranus rebellious energy we have to be cautious. Do not give in. Do not compromise but also do not erupt in anger or arguments.

One more astrological reason that says that we have to be cautious, is the fact that two days after the full moon Mars will enter into out of bounds declination, contra- parallel to Jupiter. Unbridled, uncontrolled, excessive and in a high-energy state.

Picture the movement of the planets.

Two days before this Full Moon that wants us not to compromise and brings a crisis in the balance of relationships, we will feel the need to speak our mind and to move on, while two days after the full moon, our energy will be so high that it will be difficult to control.

There’s a saying, “to make an omelette you have to crack a few eggs”.

That is what this Full Moon wants from us.

To have the courage to confront oppositions in relationships, and to express our individuality even if we have to argue. We have to slowly and cautiously move on, with clear head and free of unnecessary sentimentalism. We have to be prepared for sudden eruptions and arguments, but at the same time to use all confrontation in the most constructive way. To rebuild and renew our relationships through them.

We just have to break some eggs… without spilling everything onto others faces.

Be prepared, be firm.

We need just a small push to get out of the muddy terrain and after the small crisis that this Full Moon brings, all will be renewed under the Sun.

FULL MOON IN LIBRA 21 MARCH 2019

The Full Moon takes place at 00°and 09’ of the Libra Sign. It strongly affects Aries and Libra Signs and also Cancer and Capricorn Signs which are born in the first days, as well as those having personal planets, points or their Ascendant, near the 00° – 02° degrees of the Cardinal Cross.

A Full Moon in Libra will be visible on the night sky on the 20th towards the early hours of the 21st of March.

It is a Full Moon that takes place a little less than four hours after the Sun has entered into the Sign of Aries, marking the time of the Spring Equinox and the beginning of a new astrological year.

It is also a Full Moon that takes place on the 0°09’ of the Aries – Libra axis, with the Sun that symbolizes our ego, our own self, on the very first degree of the Zodiac. An ego ready to jump on anything new filled with a pioneering spirit.

The timing of this Full Moon in Libra alludes to new beginnings or to the emergence of a new self.

The Full Moon in Libra

Full Moons are times of heightened tension. They mark a period when a balance is sought, between our will and our feelings, between the conscious self and the unconscious. Experience and objectivity on one hand, intuition and sentiments on the other, symbolized in the polarity of the Sun and the Moon.

A polarization that now during the full moon culminates, and out of its tension a realization comes, an understanding.

When the Full Moon is taking place in the Sign of Libra this realization has to do with our feelings towards others and our relationships. The Moon is in Libra, the Sign of relating and the Sun is in Aries, the Sign of self-designation. We try to rationalize our emotions and balance how we interact with others. The Sun, our conscious self, projects our ego onto our emotions and onto important others and asserts, “Me” versus “We”.

So, under this Full Moon that concerns to relationships, a seesaw moves between “Every you (Libra) and every me (Aries)”, but at which side it shall stop?

FULL MOON IN LIBRA 21 MARCH 2019

The Chart

The answer lies in the chart. The opposition of the Sun and the Moon as always is a tension that will be revealing, but in the chart of this specific Full Moon in Libra, the ruling planets of the two Lights, Mars and Venus are in square aspect to one another.

This aspect is highly charged sexuality, it is the warring principle in relationships, it is loving and hating and loving again. Mars from the most reliable and steadfast Sign of Taurus desires to relate with a most independent, freedom loving, and unpredictable Venus in Aquarius, but this is not easy. The aspect is tight nearly partile.

So this Full Moon brings a quarreling culmination between the male and the female.

Not only the Mars and Venus sexually charged clash alludes to this, because if it was only this, then the fight could be easily resolved in the bedroom and next day everything could be fine again.

Uranus in Taurus has started from March the 6th to unsettle stability, and in this particular Full Moon it is also making a quincunx aspect to the Moon. Charging with more tension the already tensed feelings, and stirring our desire for breaking away.

So, this full moon seems to be a culmination that will be a make or break in relationships with the odds being a little more in favor of breaking since as we have seen it also marks a pivotal time for new and very important beginnings due to its critical cardinal quality (0° degree Aries-Libra).

Is this the only verdict, aren’t there any other harmonious aspects to help?

Mercury is conjunct Neptune in Pisces and retrograde. So our thoughts may linger on the past and a re-examination of the relationship will take place. Inspired shall we be? Idealized will be the re-visioning of the past?

No, none of the two.

Mercury is also in a square aspect to Jupiter and to a sextile aspect to Saturn.

The relationship will be revisited in its whole. We will make a mental stroll in its romance and compassion and the moments of mutual understanding, but we shall also revisit its every detail and we shall over think it (Jupiter square to Mercury Rx).

Our thoughts, out of the abstract Piscean and inspired Neptunian energy will distill the essence of the relation and the sextile of Mercury to Saturn will make us asses it clearly and in its entirety.

And then… clarity will guide our actions, because Saturn is also making a nice trine to Mars.

This is a Full Moon in Libra that may affect relationships in various ways, because it will bring about decisions and will result in actions, from the day on that Mercury will stop being retrograde, on the 28th of March.

Possible manifestations of this full moon are:

Request your Astrology Reading by Andrew Ifandis

  • It will make us realize how important or how only based on sexual drives our relationship may be.
  • It will bring about friction that will be the result that one person needs to feel freer than the other person wills to.
  • It will bring definitive decisions for ending and splitting that soon will be expressed and result in actions.

Though this Full Moon is a shifting for our relationships it marks a time that will be good for us, since the change seems to be necessary, it will be done after consideration and thought, and it will be us that we shall decide the when and the how.
