LUNAR ECLIPSE IN SCORPIO MAY 2022

The Lunar Eclipse takes place in the Sign of Scorpio, and is of special importance for ALL Zodiac signs, as each eclipse marks an evolutionary point for everyone.

It is especially difficult for Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius persons, especially those who have personal planets or horoscope angles between 23°-27° degrees.

Challenging for Pisces, Scorpio, Cancer, Virgo and Capricorn Signs, requiring faith and calmness.

It demands readjustments and a change of attitude for Aries, Gemini, Libra, and Sagittarius.

A very difficult Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio takes place on May 15th or May 16th, depending on where you are in the world, which fills us with gloom and pessimism.

It is a critical eclipse that will surely distress us since our sense of security will be largely determined by our maturity and patience in dealing with situations.

Macbeth, Act 2, Scene 1

There’s a well-known line in Shakespeare’s Macbeth, in the scene where Macbeth is walking in the night, and hearing the sound of the castle bell echoing grimly, he monologues:

“I go and it is done. The bell calls me.

Don’t listen to it Duncan, for it is a sound that calls you to Heaven or Hell.”

The lunar eclipse in Scorpio has the same dark and grim mood as the bell Macbeth hears. The bell is tolling and depending on our reactions our path will be more or less difficult.

There are some helpful and positive aspects in the Eclipse chart but one thing is for sure, we will first have to go through the Darkness before we can come out into the Light again.

Saturn in Aquarius has been square to the Moon’s Nodes for some time now, and will continue to be for some time to come. From this position it calls us to act with responsibility and maturity, and to make choices where there is no room for excessive sentimentality or excessive rationalization.

In particular in this eclipse, Saturn is in addition in a tight square to the two Lights and its message is like the bell that Macbeth hears. So let us listen carefully, for its chime leads us down one of two paths:

One path leads to emotional stress and disappointment caused by our inability to deal with responsibilities in our relationship. It brings emotional detachment, coldness, sadness and pessimism. – This path is the dark night of the soul and we don’t want to take it.    IT IS NOT AN OPTION.

The other path leads to integrity and maturity. It requires patience and hard work, especially in how we respond to the emotional needs of our loved ones.

It is a difficult second path, through a dark tunnel, and along the way we need to understand what it is that really makes us feel safe. As we walk to the exit we need to have a clear understanding of the bigger picture for the future and to address our fears.

But this is very difficult with Mercury, the planet that characterizes all functions of thought and communication, retrograde, and also conjunct the Sun and in opposition to the Moon.

So great care is needed in what we say and how we say it because the Mercury-Moon opposition makes it difficult to express ourselves and can lead us to communicating our feelings in completely the wrong way, as the emotional strain is intense and we are under pressure.

It is preferable to take advantage of the introverted energy of this eclipse to better understand our own motivations, our own obsessions. Where we are possessive, why we are filled with fears and where our peace lies.

The tranquillity of Taurus, and not the complexity of Scorpio, is the aim of this eclipse.

We need to understand that a requirement of emotional security is TRUST, whereas in contrast, the dark brooding of insecurity only brings about further emotional suffocation and grows the Shadows…

Chiron conjunct Venus at 14° Aries is the healing power of Love shining like a star waiting for us on the way out.

But it’s also the bittersweet trauma of insecurity that we carry along the way…

Aiding the energy of the eclipse, the Mars-Neptune conjunction from the sign of Pisces acts like the lantern that lights our way through the dark tunnel. It is a conjunction that in trine – sextile to the Moon’s Nodes reminds us how crucial it is not to be impulsive, but to let go guided with our intuition.

It asks us to believe that the Universe is watching our back. Only in this way can material and emotional insecurities disappear.

Mars conjunct Neptune is the counterbalance to the phobias expressed by Saturn as it touches the Nodes with a square. It is Zen contemplation. To let ourselves go with the flow. It is FAITH to DARE to go towards our dream, to go towards our destiny.

So, as we hear the bell of this eclipse, we know that we will go down a dark path.

Let us dispel the Shadows cast by the negative manifestations of the Scorpio – Taurus axis with the Light cast by the lantern of inspiration, by the Light of our intuition. Let them dispelled by the Light of a determination that is not shaken by hesitation, that has Faith, and that empathizes.

Jupiter from the first-first degree of Aries promises a New Beginning after this Eclipse.

A beginning that will come… sooner or later. But that will come.

And the next, very favorable New Moon on May 30, promises the same as well.

Until then… keep the lantern bright.

The eclipse season is here and it starts with a powerful Solar Eclipse that takes place at 10°28’ of Taurus.

This is the first eclipse for 2022 and also the first eclipse that takes place with the nodes on the Taurus – Scorpio axis.

There will be a total of six eclipses on this axis on through to the first half of 2023 and this means that starting with this one, all eclipses till the 5th of May 2023 will highlight the same themes in relationships.

Themes that have to do with our sense of security, our tranquillity, and peace of mind and soul. Building more trust, getting past power plays, and how to cater to more emotional stable and fulfilling relationships will be at the fore front.

Yes, the path of evolution that the eclipses pave for us is filled with lessons on how we share and connect on a deeper level.

With the Solar Eclipse in Taurus on the 30th of April you should expect the unexpected. Things are going to move fast in the next months and change is coming.

What was once stable no longer is. Change is coming throwing, routine, laziness, stubbornness and unwillingness to move on, out of the window. The time is now for a radical new beginning in areas of life that have been stagnant or moved at a slow pace.

This eclipse will mark a change or a disruption. It will either be a refreshing beginning or a cataclysmic shake-up to finally shed our old skin and this depends on how well prepared we are to embrace the stirring of the old roots that the Universe is causing to get us out of our rut.

This is the mixed influence of this eclipse. For some bringing unexpected changes for the better, while for others it brings a cleansing crisis so that they can face their core truths and move forward.

But for most of you this eclipse is going to work in a very positive way, bringing even small miracles.

With the exception of Uranus in conjunction with the Eclipse, and the ever present square that Saturn is making to the nodes -meaning that the period is critical and requires responsible actions, all other aspects are positive.

The eclipse occurs on the same day as Venus’ wonderful conjunction with Jupiter in Pisces, on the degree where Venus, the planet of love, is in exaltation. This in no mere coincidence.

Venus rules Taurus and thus the eclipse itself, and is also the planet that disposes Uranus. So, Venus in a way contributes to making Uranus’ influence more harmonious.

Venus is powerful in this degree, and is between Neptune and Jupiter.

An extremely rare conjunction of the three planets in Pisces, which can bring vision and hope. The feeling that the Universe has our back, which fills us with positive emotions and the FAITH that the coming change is for our benefit.

Venus blends the eclipse’s energy of a refreshing start with both Value and Essence. It helps us on our path to growth. We appreciate ourselves more and by feeling in tune with ourselves, we can open up to others.

Venus is also in a sextile aspect to Pluto in an aspect that intensifies desire and helps existing relationships evolve to an even deeper level.

All of these energies have the potential to bring sweetness, romance, inspiration or even love out of the blue!

Why am I so optimistic?

Because this is a SOLAR ECLIPSE and solar eclipses always bring events!

Furthermore, because this is a Solar Eclipse that occurs near the North Node, and North Node eclipses push us out of the familiar, and thrust us toward our destiny.

One more reason?

The eclipse is conjunct ASTEROID EROS!

Eros represents the immense desire for MANIFESTATION. It represents dynamic energy, passion and will-to-power, including sexual passion and attraction.

Eros’s symbolism includes the idea of ‘passion’ as suffering that is transformed to hope and creation. It is the force that creates (gives birth to) Cosmos out of the primordial Chaos.

These qualities of Asteroid Eros fit perfectly with the creative manifestations symbolized by the archetypes of Neptune, Venus and Jupiter in Pisces.

They also match the sextile aspect that the planet Mars makes to Uranus in this eclipse. An action aspect full of excitement, but an aspect that also brings desire and stimulation.

That’s why I’m optimistic.

Jupiter and Neptune are also sextile Pluto, which has just turned retrograde.

An aspect that invites us to dream and visualize, because transformation and manifestation are now possible.

They begin with the inner work of subduing our demons, and end with regaining our psychic power and leading to a renewal of ourselves and our relationships.

Powerful aspects, and as you can see this is a very POTENT eclipse!

So, surrender in faith to the rapid changes it brings your way. Feel your worth. Pursue your desires with passion.

For those of you that the eclipse will bring destabilization, know that it will be only temporary, and will ultimately work towards your future harmony.

LUNAR ECLIPSE 19 NOVEMBER 2021

By astrologer, Andrew Ifandis

The Lunar Eclipse takes place at 27°14′ of the Sign of Taurus.

This eclipse will be of more importance to those belonging to the Signs of the Fixed Cross (Taurus, Scorpio, Leo and Aquarius), and more specifically those born from February 14 to 18, from May 16 to 20, from August 18 to 22 and from November 17 to 21.

Also, to those who have personal planets or their Ascendant near the degrees 11° – 15° and 25° – 29° of the above Signs.

THE MEANING OF ECLIPSES

Once more we are in Eclipses period, a time that brings changes and confronts us with important and meaningful realizations.

Significant in Astrology, the Eclipses are pushing us, sometimes through difficulties, to leave behind patterns of behavior, people and situations, that no longer serve us, even when we ourselves do not realize it. The Eclipses “push” us, whether we want to or not, to write the next chapter in our personal history.

THE LUNAR ECLIPSE IS THE FIRST IN THE TAURUS – SCORPIO AXIS

On November 19, 2021 we have a Taurus Lunar Eclipse, the first of the two Eclipses that close 2021, and also the first of the eclipses that take place on the Taurus-Scorpio Axis. Mark that this is the axis that will host all (!) of the eclipses in 2022.

The Lunar Eclipse on November 19th, brings emotional peaks that relate to the theme of the Taurus – Scorpio, and forces us to turn the page, leave situations behind, or even completely change our perceptions as to what financial and emotional security really means and what makes us strong.

Relationships, situations, people, and even jobs that don’t fulfil us emotionally will most possibly come to an end soon after this eclipse, or ALTERNATIVELY this eclipse marks the beginning of their end that will come within the next six to seven months.

THE MAIN THEMES

It is existential issues that are raised by this eclipse.

What do we want from our lives? What fills our soul?  What is better, to live in a golden cage or follow your true Nature at all costs? Do we feel self-sufficient? Is it that maybe we have placed our value and therefore our strength upon someone or something else?

The Lunar Eclipse in Taurus will clearly reveal, power plays and power games, and make us deeply aware of how and why they exist. After this, nothing will be the same…

There is a great intensity of emotions that this eclipse will bring to the fore and unfortunately, we will may act with exaggeration and lack of moderation, since what we have so long suppressed will suddenly and unexpectedly overwhelm us. It is the overflowing of the emotional dam after many attempts to keep up appearances.

Excess of feeling and also a desire for liberation for some others, as this Eclipse will spark a desire for independence and liberty.

It is advisable to weigh all risks and not act on excessive optimism and frivolous decisions. Control your impulses and avoid overstatements.

UNEXPECTED TURNS AND HIDDEN MOTIVATIONS

This Eclipse will also bring sudden twists and turns that you did not expect. This is because Mars in opposition to Uranus is an aspect of the eclipse that acts revolutionary, explosively and turns things upside down, further accelerating the inevitable changes.

This aspect can also, make – especially those of you who have personal planets near 13° of the Taurus-Scorpio axis, to announce important and long – thought decisions that will surprise and upset others with your revelations!

And I say this because in the chart of the eclipse at 12° and 13° degrees where Mars and Uranus are, there exists the “calculating towards self-interest” help of Venus at 12° Capricorn.

Venus from this point is in trine aspect to Uranus and a sextile to Mars, something that suggests that the sudden announcement is not sudden at all, and that behind the seemingly impulsive decisions, there is… calculation, self-interest and secret motives.

LUNAR ECLIPSE IN TAURUS SUMMARY

I would like to end my analysis of this very difficult eclipse, which will affect us all, by prompting you to be cautious for accidents, especially if you are in one of the Fixed Zodiac Signs, as well as of “accidents” of another nature, since the Jupiter-Moon square combined with the whole energy of the eclipse can bring unexpected pregnancies.

This is a difficult eclipse but fortunately there is a positive aspect as the Moon is in a trine to Pluto in Capricorn – separating though so less powerful.

This aspect gives us emotional strength, stubbornness and hardens us to face any difficulties. It is also an aspect that makes us strong and gives us the determination to go ahead on difficult decisions. Decisions that we ourselves will have made, and that will have to do with ending situations that do not suit us.

It is, I would say, an eclipse that holds tremendous potential.

A potential that whether expressed with emotional turmoil and sudden movements, or through an emotional climax and a steely determination to leave situations behind… at the end of the day will push us to take necessary and important steps forward.

I wish you to all to have a positive eclipse that will move you onwards!

FULL MOON IN TAURUS – OCTOBER 31, 2020

The Full Moon Chaos Of The Unholy Night

By astrologer, Andrew Ifandis

A difficult Full Moon takes place in the sign of Taurus on October 31, 2020.

A Full Moon is a point of culmination. It usually marks a time when processes or events that have begun two weeks before with the New Moon are now reaching their climax.

This is why under the Full Moon we are usually charged with tension. Now either what started then is completed, or we clearly see what is lacking, what needs to be corrected, what is wrong. and we are called to re-adjust our actions or our attitude. Now we are called, in the light of the revelations brought by the Full Moon, to change our attitude, our actions or our own course.

With the full moon in Taurus on October 31st, the tension we feel arises from the contradiction between our need to be emotionally safe, in practical and simple terms, on the one hand …

… and from our strong desire to change and experience intense situations as we are attracted by the complex, or the dark, or the deep and rich emotional stimulation … on the other.

It is a tension that we ourselves cause, as we are attracted

by the dark call of the Night of Souls.

But the exact opposite may also be true.

Confusion and uncertainty come to the fore not because we ourselves want to undermine the security and confidence we already have, but because the circumstances are truly subversive and transformative, in a pivotal and cathartic 2020, where everything that is happening is stirs feelings of reaction and insecurity.

Insecurity from the impending change that we feel is approaching.

So, our need for security is great. We need to hold fast to something dear, something that gives us the pretext of the security we so desperately need, and so we try to resist the shocks of change.

The intensity of this Full Moon is greatly enhanced by the planet Uranus which is almost in a precise conjunction to the Full Moon.

Uranus in conjunction to the Moon and in contrast to the Sun, brings changes, unexpected events, emotional turmoil, upset and sudden realizations that make us change the way we see things. It makes us reactionary, revolutionary and groundbreaking.

Retrograde, it makes us wonder what our truth is, and it completely redefines our concept of freedom but also what is the security that we so desperately need to feel on a deeper emotional level.

As a result, it brings everything upside down.

Possible manifestations of this Full Moon in Taurus are:

  •   We want changes that will bring us security and we know that in order to attain this we must first accept the dark parts of ourselves and overcome them.
  •   Sudden events or news disturb our tranquility.
  •   We realize our feelings in a kind of revelation, and we really grasp how true, intense and deep they are.
  •   We want to feel free and express our feelings abruptly, regardless of rules and conventions.
  •   We become reactive as our desires for more intimacy and emotional union in our relationships are not met.

Emotionally and erotically, this Full Moon intensifies a feeling of inadequacy and devaluation by others. A feeling that hurts us, but also that makes us think maybe it’s time to finally end relationships and situations that do not help us, instead of trying to reconcile the incompatible.

This Full Moon may also bring unexpected events that challenges what was familiar until now, emphasizing the need to restore emotional security in our love life.

This Full Moon shakes us and shocks us, and yes it does this because it aims to wake us up to see clearly what we are looking for.

With the uncertainty it causes and the tension it brings, it may disrupt our stability and calmness, but it does so because its purpose is to profoundly affect relationships and the way we connect.

You see, this Full Moon takes place a night that has something special in the air. A night that, according to tradition, the veil between the material world of senses and the intangible world of spirits and ghosts, becomes thinner.

The Taurus-Scorpio axis that the Full Moon takes place is akin to the “Trick or Treat” of this night, which is a threat of one person doing something that scares you on a psychological level (Scorpio), if you do not give him a treat with sweets or money, to cover him in material terms (Taurus).

And so this Full Moon and Uranus come to remind us that relationships are not material goods or the sense of security that material goods simply cover, and they are also not an insatiable and incessant sentimental vampirism, full of tensions, that all it does is create obsessions and psychological dependencies.

The only real connection is “In Soul and Body”. Consciously and unconsciously. Connection true in the expression of our individuality and with real freedom that arises from the osmosis and deep bonding, as the soul and the body become one.

This is how relationships should be.

And if they are not… then this Full Moon, that also has something special in the air, comes to shake us.

It comes to throw over, any relationships that are not essential and to chase away the vampires and ghosts of this unholy night…

A difficult Full Moon in Taurus is taking place on October 24th.

A Full Moon is a point of culmination. It usually marks a time when processes or events that have begun two weeks before with the New Moon are now reaching their climax.

That is why under the Full Moon we are usually charged with tension. We now either successfully conclude what has started then, or we clearly see what is lacking, what needs to be corrected, and we are called to re-adjust our actions or our attitude.

A Full Moon in Taurus

When the Full Moon is taking place in the Sign of Taurus, the tension felt is the result of the contrast between our need to feel emotionally safe in practical and simple terms, while at the same we want to change, we want deep emotional stimulation and are drawn to complexity of emotions.

It can also mean that circumstances may indeed be transforming, stirring inside us feelings of insecurity and the need to be grounded again, the need to hold on to something dear that gives a sense or a pretext of simple security.

This second case is somewhat closer to the energy of the Full Moon in Taurus that takes place on the night of the 24th of October and that brings high tension in the way we relate.

The Pent-up Emotions

FULL MOON IN TAURUS OCTOBER 2018If we examine the chart of this Full Moon in Taurus the first thing that strikes us is the Grand Cross formed in the Fixed Signs.

The Nodal Axis in the Leo – Aquarius is forming tight squares with the Sun and Venus conjunction in Scorpio and with the Moon and Uranus conjunction in Taurus. It is as if this Full Moon is a pivotal point, a crossroads where stacked up energy has reached its maximum point and the pressure has to be released.

The imbalance represented by the Full Moon’s axis, the Sun and Venus opposing Moon and Uranus, is presenting a crisis necessary for our self-development.

There is a karmic and evolutionary lesson that can be found here if we are able to integrate this Full Moon’s opposition constructively.

It seems that it is easy for us to be absorbed in an egotistical expression of ourselves (North Node in Leo), that has its roots in an adolescent and irresponsible sense of individualism (South Node in Aquarius), and which is now challenging our relationships.

Or to be more precise, regardless of whether we are in a relationship or we are single, this Grand Cross challenges our very sense of self-worth and emotional security as denoted by the Full Moon axis in Taurus – Scorpio.

What we are called to do, and which is difficult, is to instead turn the picture upside down.

We have to use the energy of the Nodal Axis the opposite way. Begin our approach with the co-operative and dispassionate spirit of Aquarius and then moving on towards expressing our selves with the warmth, creativity, and love, traits that Leo displays when at its best.

This approach will help to a constructive expression of the Full Moon opposition in a beneficial way, but it is indeed very difficult for us to adopt it because the Grand Square is in Fixed Signs, denoting stubbornness and difficulty to let go of our pent-up emotions.

FULL MOON IN TAURUS OCTOBER 2018

The Disruptive Challenge for Relations

This Full Moon’s tension is not only the polarity of the Sun and Moon in the Taurus – Leo Axis.

It is a tension that is highly amplified by Planet Uranus that is in a conjunction with the Moon. Retrograde and at the same time on the powerful 0° of Taurus, Uranus creates emotions highly strung with octanes of nervousness. We need to be free and to express our emotions, out in the open, regardless of norm or convention.

In addition to this, Uranus is not only conjunct the Moon, but simultaneously is in an opposition aspect to the Sun and to planet Venus in Scorpio.

Its opposition with the Sun in Scorpio brings rebelliousness, independence and a need to break away from manipulating and complex-ridden relationships.

Uranus conjunct with the exalted Moon in the sensual Taurus, is in opposition with the sexually charged Venus that moves retrograde in Scorpio. This is a combination of energies that make us to more prefer satisfying our hedonistic needs than to relate deeply, sharing emotional connection.

So, either more freedom is what we need, or we are full of enthusiasm for new flirts, or a sudden new romance appears.

Whatever the case, our erotic life is shaken and is very likely to change under this combination of aspects.

The Triggering of the Next Eclipse

Whatever Uranus’ participation in the Full Moon may bring in the following weeks, it will be something possible to be repeated or to be concluded with the Total Lunar Eclipse on January 21, 2019.

The eclipse takes place on 0°52’ of Leo, and Uranus in this Full Moon chart, is tightly squaring its degree, activating and triggering events or situations that will again concern us near the time of the eclipse.

Unsettling of Stability

The circumstances under this Full Moon in Taurus are unsettling to our stability and serenity.

This is a Full Moon that has the potential to deeply affect relationships or how we relate. It is charged with highly – strung emotions, brings the need for freedom and for expression of our individuality.

The only stabilizing factors in the chart of this Full Moon in Taurus, is that Saturn is making a trine aspect to the Moon and Uranus as well as a sextile to Venus. These aspects somehow ground the disruptive energy and work beneficially for relations that otherwise could very easily break under the stress of this Full Moon.

Emotions, though tense, can be patient, mature and we may manage the sudden in a responsible manner.

However, high tension remains in the air.

  • We have to be careful because this Full Moon in Taurus may be the beginning of a crisis that will lead to break ups and splits, a crisis that may re-appear in end January 2019 or a little afterwards.
  • Let us be prepared for sudden events that challenge what was up to now familiar, highlighting the need for re-establishing emotional security in our love lives.
  • We may try and use the grounding energy of the Saturn aspects to re-new relationships in a new basis.
  • We have to take care with money and investments for the next two weeks, as the possibility for high volatility and uncertainty in finances is high.

This is a difficult full moon that places us at the crossroads, and the thing is that it seems we won’t be able to choose easily or decisively on which path to take yet, but we’ll have to wait until later on.

TAURUS NEW MOON – 15 MAY 2018: Shake at the Foundations

May 2018 New Moon in Taurus

The New Moon takes place in 24°and 36’ of the Earth Sign of Taurus. It strongly affects Taurus and Scorpio Signs and also Aquarius and Leo Signs which are born in the third decan, as well as those having personal planets, points or their Ascendant, near the 22° -26° degrees of the Fixed Cross.

Especially with this particular New Moon, the square aspect between Mars and Uranus affects those who have planets or horoscope points at 29° of Cardinal Signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) or 0° of the Fixed Signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpions, Aquarius).

A very original New Moon is taking place in the Sign of Taurus on May 15th.

The astrological symbolism of the New Moon has to do with the start of a new cycle that begins as two different principles, that of our conscious will (symbolized by the Sun), and that of our unconscious drives (symbolized by the Moon), meet together.

This merging of the two principles marks the perfect time to begin things as the one will drive the other.

When the New Moon happens in the Sign of Taurus the time is ideal for growing on a solid foundation, for planting the seed for the future, for firmly setting out building your security. For example enterprising endeavors are favored when the New Moon is in Taurus.

The Sign is grounded. Firm and stolid in its calmness.

Taurus. Calm, peace and harmony right?  Very nice, very nice, very nice…

…but NOT with this New Moon.

This is the most atypical Taurus New Moon that we shall encounter for a long, long time.

The chart of this New Moon in Taurus is very similar to the chart of an astrological event of great importance that happens less than four hours after this lunation. If you look at the chart you can observe that Uranus is at 29°59’, upon the very last minute of the very last degree of the Sign of Aries.

This New Moon coincides with the entrance of Uranus, the planet of change and de-stabilization into the Sign of Taurus.

How fitting the new moon symbolism now becomes. A new period of Uranus in Taurus begins as this New Moon happens.

So, there goes the stability of this New Moon…

Uranus is not only with one foot inside the Taurean territory, but also it receives a very tight square from Mars placed at 29°43’ of the Sign of Capricorn.

The exact of this aspect happens the next day after the new moon, with the two planets changing Signs simultaneously, and forming the square from 00°02′ degrees of Taurus & Aquarius.

This is first of the three successive square aspects that the two planets will be forming, with the second one culminating on August the 2nd and the third on September the 19th.

How fitting is the new moon symbolism again. A cycle of three squares between Mars and Uranus, in Aquarius – Taurus respectively, begins as this New Moon happens.

This electrifying square is associated with instability, impulsiveness, rushed excitement, reckless action, sudden jolted reactions, revolutionary drive, assertion that shocks, boldness and impatience, bursts of anger, accident proneness, tension and ego drive.

So, there goes the calmness of this New Moon…

One more entrance.

Mars enters Aquarius a few hours after this New Moon. From Aquarius, a Sign ruled by Uranus, and at the same time in a square aspect with Uranus, Mars brings once more the Uranian – Aquarian motif into the earth Sign of Taurus.

So, there goes the firm ground of this New Moon….

The chart of the New Moon has six planets in earth Signs but the energy that Uranus brings is intense. The square with Mars is tight, the degrees are critical, the Uranian motif is repeated.

This New Moon is not about planting seeds and waiting patiently for them to grow.

It is not about building security.

The May 2018 New Moon in Taurus is about us

beginning to prepare for the upcoming changes.

It is a trailer of what is to come as the cycle of eclipses in the Leo – Aquarius axis is approaching.

It is the pre-seismic activity before the foundational shake.

The balance has shifted, a new paradigm shift is forming in the following months and this New Moon in Taurus is the introductory chapter of the “Manual of Change”.

Some of the questions that this New Moon in Taurus poses are:

  • How can we maintain inner peace within a de-stabilizing period?
  • How can we build and enhance on our material resources while the very landscape is changing?
  • How we can align needs and will, in an ingenious and innovative approach that does not undermine what we have up to now held as familiar giving us a sense of security?
  • How to tap on creativity, emotional stamina and stay focused with will power towards our goals -all traits of the chart of this New Moon but shadowed by the intensity of the Uranus and Mars energy?

The characteristics of the Taurus Sign hold the answers to these and other similar questions that may arise:

  • Amidst the Uranian shakes, we try to remain calm in our center, open and ready to embrace change.
  • We try to remain a placid Taurus and to not act with the impulsiveness of the Mars – Uranus square.
  • We sense the electrifying vibes and absorb the surge of energy with laid back detachment.
  • We understand that the new security is to dare to deconstruct the familiar and then rebuilt it in a new form.

Such is the nature of the processes that this New Moon sets forth for us. And if they may sound vague, abstract or too difficult to attain, please have in mind that,

…what was once a shocking modernity, it is today’s classic art.

FULL MOON IN SCORPIO – 30 APRIL 2018: The Balance Shifts

Sharing is caring:

Full Moon in Scorpio 2018

The Full Moon takes place at 09° 38’ of the Sign of Scorpio. It strongly affects Scorpio, Taurus, Leo, and Aquarius Signs, which are born near the end of the 1st decan or near the start of the 2nd decan, as well as those having personal planets or their Ascendant near the degrees 7°- 11° of the Fixed cross.

Prelude

Since the Aries New Moon two weeks ago, the moon has traveled half its cycle. Sign by Sign, it moved into the Sign of Scorpio and now shines, late at night, reflecting the light from the Sun that is in the Sign of Taurus.

This reflection is a culmination. It reflects a turning point in a process that started with the New Moon in Aries, a process that awakened us and placed us at the center of developments.

The previous New Moon was the impulse that pushed us, and now the Full Moon in Scorpio is our emotional response to a need that is deeply ingrained in the fabric of our soul.  The need for a meaningful connection that transforms. It is us desiring rebirth.

All full moons in Scorpio awake a desire for transformation, but with this Full Moon the need is intense and we can now make the difference.

Now we tip the scales. With this Full Moon in Scorpio the shift is made and everything is set in motion.

Act 1 – Balance Shift

There are three strong astrological indicators that give to this particular Full Moon a fated or as I more prefer to call it, evolutionary nature.

Moon from within the 9°38’ degrees of Scorpio opposes the Sun in Taurus and at the same time, both lights are in a square aspect to the Lunar Nodes at 10°30’ degrees of the Leo – Aquarius axis. This is the current eclipses’ axis and actually, if one checks, this Full Moon is not only squaring the nodes but it is also square the total Lunar Eclipse of January the 31st.

This cosmic coincidence connects the Lunar Eclipse with this Full Moon and means that emotional issues manifested right after the January eclipse, things that have been brewing under the surface all this time, have now reached a critical point. We can no longer balance between material stability (Taurus) and emotional security (Scorpio). Now it is the time that the balance shifts towards the one or the other, marking the beginning of a new period in our life.

Act 2 – Manifestation

Saturn is retrograde and, from the 9th degree of Capricorn, is forming a tight trine – sextile aspect to the Full Moon in Scorpio.

This second factor gives this Full Moon a serious nature. Saturn, the great teacher, gives us an opportunity to not only discipline the intense emotions of this Full Moon but also eases the manifestation of our will and the achievement of personal goals.

What Saturn does is that it makes a reality out of the tension represented by this full moon and with its retrograde movement, a Karmic feeling to what is being unfolding for us, is emphasized once more.

Act 3 – Developmental Patterns

The third astrological factor that denotes development, is the Trapeze aspect pattern that is formed on the chart of this Full Moon.

This is a combined aspect pattern formed by two Learning Triangles, each one in opposite direction to the other. The Trapeze has at its corners, Saturn, the Moon, the North Node, and Mercury.

This trapeze pattern, in its remarkable combination of multiple aspects, suggests a sequence of cyclical learning processes that result in personal development.

Finale

All these suggest one thing.

We cannot escape the unavoidable culmination and the making of important decisions.

The fact that between the two lights, the Moon is the one that forms the most aspects means that it is what we feel that will eventually make all the difference under this Scorpionic Full Moon.

It is our emotions that will set the motion and under this perspective it is fortunate that the Moon conjuncts Jupiter and is making a trine aspect to Neptune, because we are inspired.

We intuitively trust that after some initial unrest something good will turn out.

Epilogue

This Full Moon in Scorpio is a critical time especially for those having personal planets close to the 9th degree of the fixed cross. Depending on the houses where it falls on our personal chart it may mean:

  • Issues that first appeared at the end of January have now reached a culmination point.
  • Moving to a new house as a result of long felt emotional turmoil with family members.
  • Changes within marital dynamics result in actions that set us on a completely new course.
  • For some women, the realization that emotional intimacy matters more than material security becomes an achieved certainty.
  • For some men, passionate feelings for a woman, that were put aside in favor of serenity, reawaken and the game is still on.

One thing is sure…however it may affect us, this is a Full Moon that will be strongly felt.

Full Moon in Taurus 2017

FULL MOON IN TAURUS – 4 NOVEMBER 2017: You deserve to enjoy yourselves

Sharing is caring:

Full Moon in Taurus 2017

A beautiful Full Moon in Taurus takes place on November 4th  and reminds us of a lesson that we may have forgotten.

The question that surrounds every full moon in Taurus concerns a balance. The balance between the security we feel that we are getting from our relationships with important others on one hand, and the deeper emotional contact we really do share with them, on the other.

We want and seek physical as well as emotional security from our important relationships.

I + Υou = We share, we enjoy and we’ re building something together. But in order for this equation to be correct, it should not only measure the material security but the emotional as well, nor should it be just a ledger of what we give and what we take on the emotional level.

This equation between us and the others has as its purpose to build a deeper union, a sharing, and ultimately what we experience has to result in transcending both us and the others through mutual reliance and trust.

Even if we are single, the concern of this full moon concerns the very value we feel that we have by ourselves. How self-sufficient we feel on our own or if, on the contrary, we need our value to be given to us by someone else.

The aspects of this full moon work magically for our relationships, and the full moon’s energy solves the above-mentioned concerns in the best possible way. Whether we are alone, or in a relationship, whether it is a friendly or another important relationship, the startle that we shall feel by looking at the bright round moon in the sky, will eventually work positively for us. Full Moon in Taurus 2017 chart

This moon fulfils us emotionally. It elicits dream, imagination, romance and idealism. It sustains deep and strong emotions. It favors passion and expression of trust. It is a moon that has optimism.

We shall feel strong and we will be willing to share. The full moon in Taurus will make us strong even if we are single. It will make us feel and know what we really deserve. This full moon gives us a vision. It uplifts and inspires us.

Even for relationships that need renewal, relationships in which the need for more freedom of expression is an issue, the full moon of November 4th is a positive catalyst. It brings patience, persistence, sensitivity and the necessary perception, so that we may communicate more deeply and make our relationship to be bonded more.

It is a Full Moon with an intense dream of oneness that makes us feel good and confident with ourselves and so, as a result, we will feel well and be well with others.

All these are not mere chance but the result of the renewing wind that has started with the New Moon in Libra and is now culminating with this Full Moon.

Until the next New Moon in Scorpio, enjoy the view of the moon and, above all, enjoy yourselves because you mostly deserve it.

Find out where the Full Moon falls in your chart

and embrace its promise of fulfillment.
